Offensive Impact
Big efficiency leap from 23-24 to 24-25. Coaching change could be part of the reason. Incompetent coaching staff before this season.
Solid efficiency for being such a high usage guard.
Not sure I trust his beyond the arc numbers from this year to translate. 29.6% 3pt in 2023, 26% 3pt in 2022.
Great pick and roll operator. 94th% frequency, 85th% efficiency as handler.
97th percentile shooting off the dribble. Good quality for a Bobby Hurley coached guard.
Not great off the catch, so will need the ball in his hands to create value. Creates a boom or bust type of transfer.
Eye test matches the numbers in P&R. Gets to his spots and is great at changing speeds. Snake dribbles through drop coverage often and will put perimeter defenders in jail.
Questions with how he will handle power conference size and athleticism. Very small frame and gets knocked off his spot often.
Can kill a softer drop coverage, but when teams defend P&R aggressively, I can see where there could be issues.
Reminds me of Dajuan Harris a bit on offense. Not the same level of a passer as Harris however, but there are similar traits.
Defensive Impact
Physical traits aren’t there
Small and not necessarily quick for being 6’1” 160lbs.
Has some trouble fighting through screens, as expected.
Teams can mismatch hunt him, and it won’t be difficult to do.
Active hands but this doesn’t make up for his limitations.
